In the era of LinkedIn, handing someone a physical business card remains one of the few ways to leave a tangible, memorable impression. However, a cheap, overly complicated template littered with random graphics and unreadable fonts achieves the exact opposite.

A clean, brutalist business card commands respect. You do not need a degree in Graphic Design or an expensive Adobe CC subscription to create something striking.

The Anatomy of a Premium Card

  • Typography: Pick exactly two font weights (e.g., Black for your name, Medium for your title). Never use more than two typefaces on a single card.
  • Whitespace: Do not try to fill every corner. Negative space implies confidence and luxury. Group your contact info tightly together and leave the rest blank.
  • Contrast: Avoid light grey text on a white background. Aim for stark contrast like ivory on charcoal, or classic black on matte paper.
Export Standards for Print
Printers require incredibly high resolution to render text crisply. Always export your final card design at a minimum of 300 DPI (Dots Per Inch). Anything lower will look blurry and pixelated when physically printed.
